Chanel is pleased to announce that Olivier Polge will formally join the perfume department of Chanel and become the fourth generation perfumer of Chanel, working side by side with Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake. Olivier Boju has worked as a perfumer in the International Flavor and Fragrance Company (IFF) since 1988, and has developed several well-known perfumes that have achieved great success in the world for many top boutique brands. In 2009, he won the Best Perfume Blender Award in the International Perfume Awards for his creative talents.

Since 1978, Jacques Boju, the third generation perfumer of Chanel, has been playing a dual role: on the one hand, protecting and inheriting the unique olfactory wealth of Chanel perfume kingdom; On the other hand, as a creator, he creatively interprets the multi-faceted charm of Chanel style in each perfume and creates a model in the history of contemporary perfume.
Jacques Borju will continue to hold his current position until Olivier Borju succeeds him as the fourth generation perfumer in Chanel perfume department.
Since 2005, the prestigious perfumer Christopher Scheijek has been the director of Chanel perfume research and development department.
He will continue to hold this position to ensure the smooth operation of Chanel's perfume department, while maintaining close cooperation with Jacques Boju and his successor Olivier Boju.
Olivier Boju will join Chanel in September this year, when he will receive a series of trainings on brand history and cultural heritage.
